| Because of the lack of food and other supplies, the Rotary Club of Intramuros has responded to help the Intramuros’ security guards and Barangay tanods (watchmen and deputised law enforcement officers) to help bridge the starvation for a few weeks. The Rotary Club of Intramuros gave 127 food packages to the 70 Intramuros security guards and 50 security guards from five different Barangays of Intramuros. 127 food packs cost Php 450 each composed of 2kg rice, 7 noodles, 10 canned goods, 2 soaps and rubbing alcohol. The food packages were funded by the Rotary Club of Batemans Bay from a AUD$1000 gift to the Rotary Club of Intramuros plus the drawing funding balances from other club projects. |
