Thank you to all of you for helping out at the Race day yesterday on Easter Saturday a beautiful day and a good crowd. A special thanks to our helpers from Narooma and Sydney. Great to see fine weather and a good turnout for our annual Charity Race Day which involves our three clubs, Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma. A big Thank You to all our volunteers at the gate selling raffle tickets to make it such a success. Some months ago the presidents of our three clubs got together to discuss who should be the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts, it was decided to follow the Batemans Bay suggestion of donating a new vehicle to the Palliative Care Support team attached to Moruya Hospital. The team currently uses the Hospital car pool, but if it had its own dedicated vehicle it would operate much more efficiently in treating patients who are more and more encouraged to be in their own homes. Again this couldn’t be done without all the volunteers giving up their Easter Saturday to help, so a HUGE thankyou.
