Michelle Hamrosi is well known to our club, having supported the medical students in training for many years. Following the devastating bushfires of 2019-20, a lot of research was done, including the impact of disasters on very young children. Unsurprisingly, it was concluded that disasters have a huge impact on young children, and that they would benefit from being better prepared.
Dr Michelle Hamrosi has written a children’s book, Charlie’s Birthday Adventure to help local families prepare their young children to cope with disasters. She will be our guest speaker tonight to tell us about the project and request assistance with its printing and distribution.
