Sharlene Cohen will be our guest speaker talking on water projects in Kenya.
Sharlene is a local lady who has worked in Africa (mainly Uganda and Kenya) since 2019. Her latest project is with the Maasai people in Kenya. Her plan is to sink a bore in a Maasai village to source water for crop growth, self sufficiency and business prospects. At present, the village women have to carry water a great distance from the river. Once the bore is in action, the entire village will be surrounded by an electric fence to keep out trespassers and the elephants!
