Myf Thompson speaking “Storytelling in Challenging Times”.

Myf’s working life has been fruitfully diverse: public relations trained with J Walter Thompson Advertising, office administration, antiquarian bookshop retail, and professional theatre in the UK and Australia.

Studying Local and Applied History as a mature student at UNE, Myf discovered a passion for oral history and started her own business which grew to embrace reminiscence writing and training in digital storytelling.

Honorary Curator for the past 11 years, Myf is involved in key aspects of the Bay Museum’s operations.   Communicating story has always been at the heart of her work.

The Medal of Australia awarded in 2021 cites Myf’s service to the Batemans Bay community.
